Task List for Preparing Your Glasses for Your Wedding Day

If you’ve decided to wear your glasses on your big day, then there are a few things you need to take care of before you hit the aisle.

Granted, this to do list won’t be as long as the one that includes reconfirming the limo and giving the caterer a final count but it’s certainly just as important. Glasses can look fabulous with your wedding ensemble if you follow the following steps:

Task 1:  Choose a Pair of Glasses!

Many brides decide to get a new frame for their big day…maybe something with a touch of their wedding color in it or something a little more romantic than their everyday glasses look.

There are many beautiful designer frame options that will look fabulous with your gown and your wedding day style if you decide to choose a new pair.  But, know that even if you choose to wear your regular frame, you can still look spectacular saying, “I do” in your specs!

If you are going to get a new pair for your big day make sure your prescription is current and head out to your closest America’s Best retailer with your head piece and or earrings in hand. Trying on frames with these two accessories on will give you a much better idea of how it will look on your wedding day!

Task 2:  Prep Your Lenses!

You are going to be photographed all day long!  Make sure your lenses have an anti-reflective coating on them so that they will photograph well, without a glare or shine-back to the camera lens.

Avoid colored tints or transitioning lenses on your wedding day because you don’t want to look like you have on sunglasses or have colored eyes in your photographs!

Also, make sure your lenses are clean! Not only will it help you see and enjoy the day better, it will look better in photos.

Task 3:  Get a Fitting!

Yes, I know you’ll be getting your dress fitted, but now’s a great time to stop by your closest America’s Best and get your glasses adjusted as well.  Over time our glasses temples stretch and bend just a bit and so getting them re-adjusted so they stay in the proper place on your big day is very important!

The optician should also check any nose pads, check the screws, etc… to make sure your glasses are going to be in top shape as you take your vows.

Visit your closest America’s Best retailer and get to work on your to do list, today!
