Glasses for Gray Days

Gray is one of the hottest colors of the season and gray glasses…well, they just may be the next big thing! If the new bright colored frames don’t suit you, and you are tired of black and tortoise shell brown options – gray may be just the answer for you!

Personally, I find that when the weather outside is cold and dreary (commonly referred to as “gray”)…I’m actually in the mood to wear some gray!  I love how, as a neutral, gray looks fantastic with dark denim, black, or navy (this season’s other hot neutral).

But, you can also spice gray up a bit by adding it to a bright red, purple, or even a fresh color green.  So, wearing gray doesn’t have to be monochromatic or dull.

When it comes to eyeglass frames, gray glasses are a great option because they look fresh, stylish and modern.   They are neutral enough not to stand out like a red or pink frame would.  Yet, at the same time, they are different enough to get noticed…in a good way.

I love this frame by LA Ink.

It comes in a few colors, but LA Ink 5 in gray is just one great looking designer eyeglass frame.  The LA Ink people are inspired by body art…tattoos!  And, this frame features a super cool version of that wild tattoo (maybe the one you always have dreamed of getting but didn’t have the courage or pain threshold!)!  The arms of these glasses are unique and the gray plastic front of this frame makes it hip and trendy.   This is a truly great gray option!

Gentlemen, I don’t want to leave you out of this gray conversation

Because many men, especially those with darker brown or gray hair, will look fantastic in an eyeglass frame in this color!  Look at this great gray frame from Ray-Ban® (which makes a great sunglass frame too as you’ll see in the image below)!  I love how trendy and unique it is, while at the same time, it’s totally not a hipster or youthful only look…I think a man of any age could wear this frame with great success.

If you love gray but aren’t sure that a plastic frame is for you

choose from any of hundreds of silver or gunmetal colored options in metal frames. Choose thicker metal temples or brow lines on your glasses if you want your gray to be more obvious.  I like this frame here by Spada.
